MTCC is pleased to announce that Sapulut Forest Management Unit 14 (Sapulut FMU14) and Kapit FMU became the latest FMUs to be awarded the Certificate for Forest Management (Natural Forest) on 11 June 2018 following successful certification audits conducted by SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd. The Certificate is valid for three years, subject to continued compliance based on yearly surveillance audit.
Located in Tibow, Sabah, the Sapulut FMU14 managed by Sapulut Forest Development Sdn Bhd under a Sustainable Forest Management License Agreement (SFMLA) is the third FMU in Sabah to be certified under the MTCS.
Similarly the Kapit FMU, located in Kapit division and managed by Tanjong Manis Holdings Sdn Bhd under Forest Timber License (FTL) No. T/3491 is also the third FMU in Sarawak to be certified under the MTCS.
