Chain of Custody and EUDR Initial Training

Dear Member of the Public / Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) Stakeholder, 

The Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC) is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the PEFC-recognised Chain of Custody (CoC) and EUDR Due Diligence System (DDS) Initial Training, which will be held online on 10–11 December 2025.

The initial training is intended for new auditors, reviewers, or certification decision makers who plan to begin conducting audits under the 2020 PEFC Chain of Custody standards and require foundational knowledge of the CoC and EUDR DDS requirements.

Training Overview

This two-day introductory programme will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of:

  • Scope and management system requirements
  • Input–output process
  • PEFC Due Diligence System (DDS)
  • Chain of custody methods and multi-site certification

The training will also introduce the 2020 PEFC Trademarks Standard2020 Certification Body Requirements, and the PEFC EUDR Due Diligence System (PEFC ST 2002-1:2024).

This training aims to equip participants with the necessary understanding to support certified companies in transitioning to the updated DDS module, which strengthens alignment with EUDR expectations.
