Amendment to Scheme Document – MTCS 1/2009

In view of the fact that the transition of the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) to fully comply with the requirements of the PEFC has been completed, MTCC has amended its scheme document MTCS 1/2009 entitled The Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) and its Implementation Arrangement dated 19 May 2009 to remove the sections dealing with the transitional arrangements of the MTCS. At the same time, additional sections have been included in the document to deal with the new activities in the MTCS, i.e. the certification of forest plantations to the requirements of the MC&I(Forest Plantations), which includes group certification.

The amended document, referred to as MTCS 2/2010 entitled The Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) and its Implementation Arrangement and dated 30 September 2010 has been approved by the MTCC Board of Trustees during its Forty-Fifth Meeting on 30 September 2010.
