The Second Meeting of the SRC held on 21-23 September 2016 at RH Hotel, Sibu, Sarawak and was attended by a total of 19 participants comprising Members, Alternate Members and Observers.
The SRC deliberated on the merging of MC&I(Natural Forest) and MC&I Forest Plantation.v2, where the wording of the Principle, Criteria, Indicator and Verifier of the two standards were considered before deciding on the wording for the merged standard. The Principle, Criteria, Indicator or Verifier which could not be streamlined were adopted separately for application for natural forest or forest plantation.
The outcome of the Second Meeting of the SRC was the preparation of the working draft of the MC&I(Natural Forest) incorporating the requirements of the MC&I Forest Plantation.v2 which will be considered by the next SRC meeting.
