MTCC is pleased to announce that the Malaysian Criteria and Indicators for Forest Plantation Management Certification or the MC&I Forest Plantation.v2 has been endorsed by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) with effect from 13 June 2016.
The endorsement of this second edition of the forest plantation standard signifies the commitment of the MTCS to continuous improvement and will enable all forest plantation management units certified against the MC&I Forest Plantation.v2 to enjoy international recognition and market acceptance.
PEFC International remains the only global forest certification system to limit endorsements of national systems to five years, requiring revision of the standards before a system can re-apply for endorsement. Endorsement is only granted after a comprehensive, independent third-party assessment of compliance with PEFC’s Sustainability Benchmarks.
