KUALA LUMPUR, 29 May 2020 – The new chairman of the Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC), Tuan Haji Kamaruzaman Mohamad visited the MTCC office here earlier today. The visit was the first since his appointment on May 11.
During the visit, Tuan Haji Kamaruzaman was briefed by MTCC Chief Executive Officer, Yong Teng Koon on the roles and functions of MTCC in sustainable forest management and the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) it operates. He expressed great interest in the work of the MTCC and spent almost three and a half hours at the MTCC office to understand better the role of the MTCC in implementing the MTCS.
Also present were Senior Manager (Finance and Administration), Noor Eshah Yat, Senior Manager (Forest Management), Siti Syaliza Mustapha, and Manager (Product), Sabrina Mawasi.
