Congratulations to Linau Forest Management Unit (Linau FMU) for being awarded the Certificate for Forest Management (Natural Forest) under the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) by SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd on 16 July 2018. The certificate is valid for three years subject to the FMU’s continued compliance to the requirements of the certification standard [MC&I(Natural Forest)] based on yearly surveillance audit.
Managed by Shin Yang Sdn Bhd, the FMU bearing Forest Timber License (FTL) No. T/3228is located in Linau, Sarawak; about 200 km east of Kapit town and 120 km south east of Belaga town. This FMU is the third FMU located within the Heart of Borneo (HoB) in Sarawak to be certified under the MTCS.
