MTCC is pleased to announce that the Gerenai Forest Management Unit (FMU) has become the 18th FMU and the tenth in Sarawak to be awarded the Certificate for Forest Management (Natural Forest) on 12 April 2020. The Certificate was issued following a successful certification audit conducted by SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd. The Certificate is valid for five years, subject to continued compliance based on yearly surveillance audits.
Located in the Miri Division of Sarawak, the FMU is managed by Samling Plywood (Miri) Sdn Bhd and covers an area of 148,305 ha, 48% of which lies within the Heart of Borneo (HoB) project area.
