Job Vacancy: Senior Executive, Marketing

The Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC) is a leading organisation championing sustainable forest management practices. We seek a high-calibre and strategic Senior Executive Marketing to join our mission.

In this role, you will be a key driver in promoting sustainable forestry and increasing market demand for MTCC-certified timber products. You will develop and implement impactful marketing strategies, engage with stakeholders across the supply chain, and raise awareness of the MTCC certification scheme among consumers and businesses alike.

 9ExperienceMinimum five years of working experience developing and executing marketing and communications initiatives.
 10Probation periodMinimum of 6 months  
11Required skill(s)Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. 
 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 
 
Possess knowledge in sustainability or ESG will be an advantage.
 11Responsibilities                                                        1. Market research and analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities for promoting the MTCC scheme and certified timber and forest based products. Analyse market trends, developing comprehensive market intelligence reports,  monitoring competitor activities, and assessing consumer behaviour.
 
2. Marketing and communication strategy development and implementation: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication plans aligned with MTCC’s objectives. Execute marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, events, public relations, and publications.
 
3. Outreach and engagement: Proactively promote the value proposition of MTCS certification to potential companies to enrol in the scheme. Organise and participate in industry events, conference, and trade fairs to network with potential clients and promote MTCS.
 
4. Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, identify their needs, and develop communication plans to achieve MTCC’s goals and objectives.
 
5. Branding and promotion: Develop and implement branding strategies to enhance MTCC’s visibility and reputation. Create promotional materials and campaign to raise awareness of the MTCC certification scheme and its benefits.  
 
6. Events and exhibitions: Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive strategy to achieve MTCC’s marketing and branding goals through participation in local and international exhibitions or fairs. Plan and manage MTCC’s presence at these events including exhibit material and booth design.
 
7. Collaborative marketing: Lead the development and implementation of collaborative marketing strategies with national, regional, and international timber certification bodies. Identify potential partners and develop joint marketing initiatives. 
 
8. To execute relevant tasks instructed by the management.
