MTCC will be organizing a three-day training for auditors on the requirements for forest management certification under the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS).
The training which is opened to professionals with the relevant expertise and experience, aims to equip and train potential auditors so that they fulfil the competency requirements as stipulated in the ACB-FMC Competency Requirements for Bodies Operating Forest Management Certification issued by STANDARDS MALAYSIA to conduct forest management certification of natural forest and forest plantations under the MTCS.
The three-day training course will be held as follows:
Date: 13 – 15 October 2020
Time: 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
Venue: Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur
The training will be conducted by MTCC’s in-house trainers as well as experienced MTCS auditors, covering the following topics:
- Accreditation requirements
- Requirements of MC&I SFM 1/2020 Sustainable Forest Management
- Assessment processes
- PEFC Trademarks Rules – Requirements for FMC certificate holders
A participation fee of RM 2,500 will be charged per participant to cover the cost of professional fees, lunch, tea breaks and training materials. The cost of travelling and accommodation will be borne by the participants. Payment either by cheque/bank transfer is to be made payable to ‘Malaysian Timber Certification Council’.
