Carl Ronnow (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. has become the first timber company in Sabah to be awarded the MTCC Certificate for Chain-of-Custody (COC 090) on 14 June 2006. The scope of the certification is for sawn timber and this will allow the company to export Malaysian sawn timber carrying the MTCC logo.
Carl Ronnow (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. began its operations in 1998 in Sabah as a wholly owned subsidiary of DLH Nordisk A/S, Denmark.
Since the beginning of 2006, nine timber companies have been awarded the MTCC Certificate. Hence, as of July 2006, a total of 92 timber companies (both manufacturers and exporters) has been awarded the MTCC Certificate for COC. The list of these companies can be obtained from MTCC’s website.
