Following the announcement by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on 16 March 2020, the Movement Control Order will be imposed from 18 March to 28 April throughout the country to contain the COVID-19 outbreak. This control order is made under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and the Police Act 1967.
Among others, the Movement Control Order includes the closure of all Government and private premises except those involved in essential services (water, electricity, energy, telecommunications, postal, transportation, irrigation, oil, gas, fuel, lubricants, broadcasting, finance, banking, health, pharmacy, fire, prison, port, airport, safety, defence, cleaning, retail and food supply).
In compliance with the above Order, please be informed that the Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC) office will be closed and will be run remotely with the staff Working From Home (WFH) from 18 March to 28 April 2020.
