In this role, you will be a key driver in promoting sustainable forestry and increasing market demand for MTCC-certified timber products. You will develop and implement impactful marketing strategies, engage with stakeholders across the supply chain, and raise awareness of the MTCC certification scheme among consumers and businesses alike.

11 | Responsibilities | Strategic Marketing & Campaign Planning a. Lead the development and implementation of integrated marketing and communications campaigns that elevate MTCS visibility among consumers, industry players, and government stakeholders. b. Develop annual market engagement roadmaps with measurable KPIs (awareness engagement, lead generation, conversion). c. Align campaigns with MTCC’s strategic thrusts under DAKN 2021-2030 and the MTCS market expansion strategy. Market research, Data & Insights: a. Conduct market research and consumer perception studies to generate campaign design (e.g. MTCS awareness survey, public and industry insights). b. Develop market intelligence dashboards, covering certification trends, competitor analysis, and sector opportunities. c. Prepare quarterly insights reports for management and Board review. Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement a. Strengthen partnerships with key sectors b. Lead collaborative marketing programmes with national, regional, international timber certification bodies, and certified companies to promote MTCS-labelled product in local and export markets. c. Work closely with PEFC International on regional consumer campaigns and communications synergy. d. Maintain consistent engagement with media, influencers, association, chambers, to position MTCC as the voice sustainable forestry and timber certification in Malaysia. e. Identify potential partners and develop joint marketing initiatives. Digital Marketing and Brand Innovation a. Drive MTCC’s digital transformation in communication – develop SEO, social media, and content marketing strategies that target key audiences. b. Manage digital analytics to track performance. c. Oversee MTCC website and social platforms as key communication assets. d. Explore new digital outreach mediums. Events, Exhibitions and Campaign operations a. Oversee planning and delivery of MTCC participation at exhibitions. b. Develop thematic narratives and brand experience for each exhibitions. c. Coordinate with certified companies to feature MTCS-certified materials in booth design, product showcases, and joint promotions. d. Evaluate event ROI and compile post-event analytics. Communications, PR & content Development a. Craft compelling narratives on MTCS b. Manage production of press release, brochures, infographics, videos, and social media content. c. Prepare materials for CEO/ management including speaking notes, presentations, announcements. Performance Monitoring & Reporting a. Maintain documentation, budget tracking, and procurement compliance for all campaigns. Leadership and Internal Collaboration a. Support the Director of Communication and Marketing in aligning marketing with corporate communication, and stakeholder engagement. b. Collaborate across MTCC units to integrate marketing insight into certification expansion, ESG alignment, and policy advocacy. To execute relevant tasks instructed by the management. |
