MTCC is pleased to announce that PT Mutuagung Lestari Tbk (MUTU) is now a PEFC-notified Certification Body (CB), authorised to conduct independent third-party certification of the Chain of Custody under the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS). MUTU has received accreditation from the Komite Akreditasi Nasional (KAN) under the PEFC/IFCC ST 2002:2020 Chain of Custody of Forest and Tree Based Products – Requirement. This accreditation is valid from 7 September 2022 to 7 September 2027.
As a PEFC-notified CB, MUTU is authorised to issue PEFC-recognised CoC certificates to companies located in Malaysia. With MUTU’s addition, the total number of PEFC-notified CBs offering CoC certification has increased to 19, encompassing local and international entities. MTCC congratulates MUTU on this significant achievement and looks forward to more companies in Malaysia obtaining certification under the MTCS.
