PEFC Trademarks Rules \u2013 Latest Update<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a8fd6e9 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"a8fd6e9\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f261f93 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f261f93\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>New requirements under the EU Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (EmpCo) strengthen the rules governing environmental claims and sustainability labels. Environmental claims are required to be specific and substantiated, while sustainability labels must meet defined requirements.<\/p><p>In response, PEFC has updated its Trademarks Rules and is introducing additional guidance and resources to support PEFC-related communications that are clear, specific and closely aligned with what can be substantiated.<\/p><p><strong>Why This Matters to Malaysian Certificate Holders?<\/strong><\/p><p>For Malaysian organisations using PEFC trademarks in communications relating to the EU market, the changes may require closer attention to how environmental claims, labels and sustainability messages are presented.
