MTCC announces the commencement of the periodic revision of the MTCS ST 1002:2021 (Malaysian Criteria and Indicators for Sustainable Forest Management) and MTCS ST 1003:2021 (Group Forest Management Certification).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of this revision process, a Standard Review Committee (SRC) of 39 members is formed, representing three (3) regions (Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, and Sarawak) of seven (7) stakeholder groups as stipulated below:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Business and Industry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Forest Owners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Local Authorities&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scientific and Technological Community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Workers and Trade Unions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SRC will serve as the multi-stakeholder \u201cforum\u201d for the review process, guided by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mtcc.com.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/PROPOSAL-FOR-THE-REVIEW-OF-MTCS-MTCS-ST1002-AND-MTCS-ST1003-FINAL-2.pdf\">Proposal for the Review of MTCS ST 1002:2021 and MTCS ST 1003:2021<\/a>, which outlines the scope, objectives, approach, and timeline for the standard review process.
