MTCC will be organising the MTCC Stakeholder Dialogue 2015 & Appreciation Dinner which will be held on 28 July 2015 (Tuesday) at the Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
The MTCC Stakeholder Dialogue 2015 with the theme: Experiences Gained and the Way Forward for the MTCS, aims to encourage an open exchange to gather the feedback and experiences of the Malaysian stakeholders regarding the implementation of the MTCS, including their recommendations for further improvement of the scheme.
The one-day Dialogue event will feature a Keynote Address by the Secretary General of PEFC International, a presentation by MTCC to be followed by two interactive sessions. Session One (1) will be conducted in the form of a panel discussion with a line-up of seven panelists representing the various stakeholder interests under the MTCS. As for Session Two (2), there will be deliberation on the proposal by MTCC to streamline the standards for forest management certification under the MTCS.
The Dialogue is envisaged to bring together Malaysian stakeholders who are involved in the MTCS processes, encompassing stakeholders representing the environmental and social interest groups, timber companies including certificate holders and timber associations, government agencies and research & academic institutions.
In conjunction with the Dialogue, and to appreciate the contribution and continued support of the Malaysian Stakeholders, an Appreciation Dinner will be hosted at 07.00 p.m. on the same day.
